ATR to run on AD08s

ATR is excited to be running exclusively on ADVAN Neova AD08s for 2011.

ATR is Back for 2011!

The new 2011 BorgWarner EFR series turbo packs a ton of state-of-the art technologies that have raised the bar for performance turbocharging systems.

The question now is, which car is it going in?

Events 7 & 8 at Shannonville

The Saturday event proved to be difficult with the Civic struggling to put its power down on the tight layout at Shannonville Fabi. A best time of 1:12.32 was clocked, good for second place behind a highly competitive WRX Sti.

Sunday’s event featured a full helping of rain, allowing for some valuable, but tricky seat time in the high-powered ATR Civic. Using the full Shannonville track layout, the Civic was able to stretch its legs and lay down a time of 2:00.02 as the track began to dry in the late afternoon. This was good enough for the class win, and 5th fastest time of the day.

Event #6 at MIR

Custom KW Clubsport coilovers were installed before the lapping day and Event #6 at MIR. With softer rear spring rates, the ride height and camber had to be significantly adjusted to stop the tires from rubbing. Once there was enough clearance, the Civic was able to put down lap times in the 1 min 35 second range. With only a twin charged EG Civic and a Z06 Corvette ahead of us, we were able to squeeze out another half a second and finish in 5th place for fastest time at a 1:34.9.
